The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, and empower them to make their communities and the world a better place. Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls by practicing girl-led planning and organization of events, troop meetings, awards program projects and community service.
The Gillette Girl Scout’s Service Unit meets the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. The Service Unit supports all troops within Gillette by offering program development, mentorship, training, Girl Scout program updates, and support. Its members are troop leaders within Gillette and are all volunteers.
Besides the annual membership fee, there is a small registration fee per event to cover cost of materials, etc. Grants are available to support girls needing assistance.
